I am not aware of any single group of non-Jews that supports Israel more than Protestant Christians.The people in question are not mainline Protestants. They are right-wing evangelicals who are into crazy End Times stuff. Mainline Protestants, like Catholics and Orthodox don't dwell on that stuff. It's never even talked about. Right-wing evangelicals are fixated on it. It's a uniquely American phenomenon. |
