That's your liberals and lefties for you. There was no factory farming even after WWII. But then someone (most likely in the Democratic Party) read these lines in their bible:
  1. Equal liability of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

  2. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country. . . .
They throw the live male chicks into a shredder, when they could have an additional business of raising capons. Potential billions thrown away, but probably for the sake of "AGW" . . .
