Posted by cortelyounext on Thu Apr 16 11:21:45 2015 The purpose of this correspondence is to ask unnamed individuals from Hillsborough County and other places to please stop beginning sentences in lower case. It is the equivalent of young Progressive Democrats upspeaking and/or beginning sentences with the word So when answering questions. I am listening to the Diane Rehm Show on NPR and David Brooks from The New York Times is the guest this hour. At least I can listen to him speak clearly, concisely, and matter of factly unlike the writer from the Washington Post who was on last hour and began every answer with the word So or some variation thereof. To my point:Diane: What are the competing interests? WaPo Guy: So, there are two issues that have received an inordinate amount of attention... Diane: Is the establishment of full diplomatic relations with Cuba a foregone conclusion? WaPo Guy: Right, so, the President last week implied in his remarks... |
