So then you are claiming that Obamacare was always a republican plan from 20 years ago.25 years ago actually. The Republicans touted it as their response to Hillarycare (socialized medicine) in the 1990s. Then why did Nancy Pelosi say we had to vote for it to know what's in it if it was out there for 20 years Context and why did president Obama push so hard to get it passed if he knew that it was such a bad plan and would be his signature accomplishment with his name on it? Because it's not a "bad" plan, and compromise was the only way to get anything passed at all. Why did the Republicans oppose it now Obama Derangement Syndrome and why did the Democrats oppose it 20 years ago. The Heritage Foundation plan was presented as opposition to the Clinton plan, so I'm not sure it makes sense to say Democrats were or were not opposed to opposition. |
