Nilet said that nobody who is a "minority" can ever be a racist...No, I said that when systemic racism exists which benefits one race (the privileged group) over another race (the oppressed group) then a member of the oppressed group cannot benefit from systemic racism against the privileged group because there isn't any and expressing a wish that there were is not a major social problem. ... even if one would consider them racist if said by the "majority" against a "minority", are meaningless Do you seriously not understand the concept of power dynamics? Do you seriously not understand that if one person holds a gun to another person's head, the statement: "I'm gonna shoot you in the head" might, in context, mean something fundamentally different if it's spoken by the unarmed person with the gun against his temple rather than the person holding the gun? |
