I had the mosaic box set of all his Blue Note LPs - unequaled material.Saw him a couple of times - once at his place, Studio Rivbea in NYC, early 70s, Boston - duets with Dave Holland (boy, was that a great night), and as a guest artist with a friend of mine's big band in Boston as well. it is good to share - talk about jazz...! even though I had to sell my collection, fall 2013, the musical memorie are all in my mind, and of course I am rebuilding my collection bit by bit |
