Same thing - don't know his stuff - for me it's embarrassing since I follow jazz. I've been familiar with his name for years, but have nev er bought any of his albums - either as a leader or a side musician. :(Not because I haven't wanted to, but because I've been listening to or buying other records, and my pockets aren't deep enough to buy any album I want at will. I'm a big follower of Blue Note, had between 35-38% of their original catalog, till sold my collection in fall 2013 - hard times, needed to meet bills. No, unfortunately I don't have good speakers - just the tiny one in the bottom of my notebook. Not enough resources now to even buy the cheapo ones you see in Staples - well, one of these days. |
