DON'T even try to back-pedal and say that you meant Asia.SA appeared twice— once for South America and once for South Asia. With your argument, we should still be at constant war with Japan, Germany, Italy, Vietnam, N. Korea, etc... You know, the ash from the fires are still there. Unexploded bombs are still occasionally discovered throughout Europe from the war. Hiroshima doesn't have a lot of old buildings still intact. East Germany is still a bit poorer decades after the Berlin Wall fell. Technically, we are still at war with North Korea (we've just agreed to a really long ceasefire). Meanwhile, Russia still bears the hallmarks of its Soviet past. And here in America, black people face considerable discrimination. It's also where I was born— but only because my great-grandparents were forced to flee from antisemitism in a country that doesn't even exist anymore. So yes. Ash from the fires has yet to be swept away. Claiming that we should still be fighting World War 2 isn't saying that ash from the fire remains after the fire is extinguished— it's trying to claim that the fire should remain after the fire is extinguished. |
