We are now 30+ hours after the event with no (credible) claim of terrorism. That alone makes terrorism unlikely. In order to incite "terror", there must be the fear that the people behind the act can and will do it again.

I wouldn't call Pilot Suicide terrorism for that reason.

I also think that within 24 hours they should be able to review the passenger log to determine whether anyone "suspicious" might have been on board.

Still, I tend to disagree with the "terrorism has been ruled out" phrasing until they know more. Unlikely at this point, for sure -- but not yet ruled out.
