" as long as they are also willing to ALONE pay the consequences of any such actions."Did such a caveat exist in the Balkan War where Europe went boldly in without asking our "permission" (and assured us they could handle it without our help) and then we had to enter it when they couldn't? I'd like to know which other of our allies has ever been told to "toe the line" or else. |
