There are lots of Israelis who see this as a election campaign stunt that is serving to drive a wedge in an ally that Israel needs in order to survive. Despite trying to suggest otherwise at times, Israel can't go at it in this world alone. While it is true that Congress doesn't trust Obama's stated position on Iran, there are lots of people in Congress who also don't like another country's leader working behind the president's back to get a speaking engagement. |
