We should not ship that gunk at all.Either we have freight trains blow up towns, or we contaminate entire aquifers and river systems. It is expensive to refine, poor quality, environmentally dangerous to get it, ship it, goes straight out to the world market, and does nothing to reduce oil dependency. IOW, it is all pain, no gain for the USA. |
