Here are the most common languages spoken by Black people living in the US (in no particular order after English):English French Creole Spanish Portuguese Arabic Swahili Amharic Millions of Black people in America are bilingual, as well. I rode in EMS with a Lieutenant who spoke five languages, all with a perfect Brooklyn accent, and he was one of the darkest-hued people of color I've ever known. Where you get your assumptions and generalizations from is still a mystery to me. |
