They should have the good sense to do that on their own, or else their opportunities are very limited.

LOL, yet they don't, so they force English speaking people, in an English speaking country to learn Spanish instead. How leftist.

What does that have to do with the stated purpose of having the officers learn a bit of Spanish, which is to improve law enforcement?

Because they should instead require Spanish speaking people that choose to live here to learn English instead.
