Florida Power and Light did it right and now TECO needs to do the right thing and demolish TECO Big Bend on Apollo Beach once and for all. I outright refused to work routes into Ft. Lauderdale but now I can go there. You will recall I turned the whole operation at Tampa International backwards and upside down that night when I broke off the arrival and maneuvered against traffic in the opposite direction to avoid the TECO stacks. You watched from the rooftop in utter disbelief but I told you it was going to happen and I am nothing if not man of my word. Those smokestacks mesmerize pilots and act like a magnet or pitcher plant drawing them in just like when the runways are affected by magnets thereby forcing the pilots who are flying in clouds and can't see out the window to line up wrong and have to go missed approach and divert somewhere else and then the airport has to send out workers in straw hats with paint buckets to put different numbers on the runways. You once told us you are scared to fly in clouds. The whole thing makes no sense.Here |
