Their rank and file have no say.That is only correct as long as the establishment feels the pulse of the rank and file closely enough to make sure they don't push someone who is beyond their pale. Had they been foolish enough to push Rudy in 2008 there would have been rebellion. Jeb will probably fly but he is pushing the envelope on immigration. |
