Not to ad agencies, or more importantly their clients. Hollywood is one thing, although even there if it's a dud for sales, no remakes. It's all about the metrics THERE too.

With Netflix and home theaters, minorities are a much larger portion of those who actually show up at theaters and pay for concessions and tickets. The official religion of America now is Benjamins. Cold, hard cash. If something makes less cash than something else, then they go for what provides the better dividend.

The days of "feelings" and "political correctness" died off with the hippies. It's all about the Benjamins now, nothing else matters beyond the quarterly bottom line and the stock price.
