I understand that some are pissed off about me constantly comparing the way we do things up here as compared to down there, but at least our locals say "The models say ..." and then follow up by showing us several on air and then say "we'll get what we get, but here's what it's looking like right now."Selkirk: I appreciate what you're saying but you have to understand that up where you live snow is a way or life. Down here in the lower 48 its akin to the Ringling Brothers circus making an unexpected visit. We think that two feet of snow is a major event, you refer to it as "flurries". Also we are ill served by our media who are in a competition with each other to create the most excitement. I for one am sick and tied of hearing ever forecast of snow transformed into the coming of the next ice age. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
