The day of rest every 7 days is something the world is desperately in need of, whether they be Jews, Christians, athesists, or whatever.Not, of course, that everybody should take the same day off, or that certain things not be permitted such as cooking or whatever, so long as they do not take away from that spirit of rest. But it's amazing how good you feel the other days of the week after a day of recollection has been taken. It's more than worth putting off any "necessary" task that one thinks they needed to perform on that seventh day. |
