But the medical examiner says that the windpipe was constricted, which shouldn't happen in a headlock, and the constriction contributed to death.So did the constriction happen as a result of criminal recklessness or was it a tragic accident? The grand jury says probably not the former. But even if the police officer is without blame, he still contributed to Garner's death. By the way, I once gave myself angina by doing strenuous exercise while wearing a dust mask. I could breathe, just not enough to supply my heart. My cardiologist said my heart was fine, and just not to do that again. Obviously Garner's heart wasn't fine. |
