Back in the 1970s I remember an incident where an italian-american junkie living in Bath Beach was breaking into homes. He got the mother of all beatings and got the message - for a while. The 2nd beating put him in the hospital, he reformed after that.The old mobsters pushed drugs in places that were already going to hell like East NY, but always through buffers. Nasty business. |
