It's plainly obvious that instead of only presenting the evidence that makes the police officer look bad, the DA presented evidence that also doesn't make the police officer look bad. So of course you get the "overwhelming impression that the DA did NOT want this case going to trial." It's his job to figure out what is worth the government's time prosecuting, isn't it? I don't know for sure. I'm not familiar with the process. But it seems to me that if he was "allowed" to present evidence to the GJ that wasn't necessarily supportive of an indictment, then the DA has some leeway and judgement. |
