But I personally know VA doctors and I know that the actual care given by the VA is first-rate."Nonsense on all counts. Look at the actual funding for the VA over the last 10 years. Look at the staffing, too. The only shortages were in the area of customer service. As for care. I had a friend who had his prostate cancer diagnosed late at the VA. Maybe his fault - maybe theirs but I went to see him at the Northport VA hospital Hospice shortly before he passed in August and it was a depressing place with seemingly indifferent staffing. Single payer, my ass! |
