By the way, that post is exactly the reason I spend less time on this site. The broad blush applied to those on the other side of reason aisle partisan divide call it what you will. For some, nothing a political party or politician stands for counts for anything. Even in the rare moment when the barriers breakdown and we as Americans must come together there is often a qualified but in the sentence. Grudging acquiescence as opposed to grudging respect. It is reactive not proactive and that is the definition of cowardice. Stand back and wait for "your people" to take a stance on an issue and then fall in lockstep despite knowing next to nothing about the fundamental meaning of the issue beyond that "my people" support it. Of course, I realize some play us for fools and enjoy pulling our strings for reasons that escape me; then again, that is reaction. The youngsters on this board I forgive. The others? Not so much.
