That kind of bothered me when I first heard the change. I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist but how does it all of the sudden change from 103 to 100.3 overnight. Sure it could be a mistake but it could also be a lie to avoid a panic.Dr. Spencer's temperature was not mentioned in the press conference. We don't know who made the "transcription error." It could have been a reporter taking information over a phone. It could also have been a nurse who wrote down the reading or a data entry worker who keyed in what the nurse had written into a computer. I've done a lot of experiments. Bad data entry is a constant source of experimental error. I prefer systems that require no human intervention for entering data. There are lots of precautions that have to be taken interfacing medical devices to computers. That makes them far more expensive than many interfaces that don't require these precautions. My urologist's office records are computerized. None of the medical devices are directly hooked into the computer. The doctor or a nurse has to manually type in the information. Ditto for my opthamologist's office. |
