Funny how nobody died and there was less poverty when there was no federal welfare though, right?False. That's because people had jobs... Well, unless they were slaves. At least until the liberals got slavery banned. Of course, while working 12 hours a day 7 days a week for something like $0.25/hour is better than slavery it's not exactly an improvement over today. ... and were living in normal families. As they still are today. Also notice how the left does not differentiate between "migrants" and invaders. The last time America was invaded was, what? World War 2? Who on the left believes there's no difference between a Guatemalan immigrant washing dishes in Dallas and a Japanese soldier invading the Aleutians? The last time America was invaded on a large scale (and the only time, if you fudge the definitions a bit) was the Civil War, and I can assure you that the left was very quick to notice the distinction between immigrants from Ireland and invaders from the Confederacy. |
