One of the things about BSD is that if you want it to work, you always build from sources and you just wait the couple of days for all of it to compile.How simple is that? If the process could be started with just a few commands, then it's not quite that bad, but if you have to work out the dependencies, configuration options, compile commands, etc., for each package, on your own, then it's going to take more than a few days to get a useful system, unless you want to forego eating and sleeping and such. :-S |
