No, the only place roommates may come into play is with shared housing and utilities costs. Other wise, any single adult's "family income" is limited to what they and they alone make. Unless you marry or are married to one of your roommates. Then ou gotta count them too. I suspect we have crickets on that one. :-)Same goes for their insurance. All policies on the ACA are FORBIDDEN to NOT cover pre-existing conditions. That' s an important part....probably THE most important part of ACA. Yeah, it's by no means a perfect system but there's still a lot to like here. Right ow you are a single person household with an income of erm and expenses of herp. Feed those numbers (not erm and herp, let's fook around with it later once you have a policy) into the system and see what pops up. If you're under 26 you can ask your parents if they can put you on their policy. |
