Hardly. My argument in that post is that tradition and someone else's claim to own your cultural background are not a valid reasons to do something. RIPTA responded with an analogy he thought served as a reductio ad absurdum, but I pointed out the analogy was not valid, as there were good reasons for obeying the laws in his example not dependent on tradition or someone else's claim that they own the concept of Judaism but which don't apply to fasting on Yom Kippur.
