Title corrected.The story: A group of kids decided to wear American flag shirts on Cinco de Mayo as part of a deliberate campaign to question the legitimacy of their Hispanic classmates. The principal told them not to and ultimately sent them home. In this case, the court ruled that a school principal has the right to discipline students for being disruptive and/or bullying in school. That insinuating Hispanic kids are worth less than white kids might be considered "bullying" has thrown the extreme right into a frothing rage, of course, since racial resentment is sort of their thing. However, openly advocating for white supremacy is no longer socially acceptable (outside of backwards cesspools like OTChat), they had to pretend it was about something else, so they deliberately misinterpreted "school principal is permitted to discipline students for making racist statement that, coincidentally, involved an American flag" as "American flag is now illegal." |
