If by "hold his own" you mean continue to repeat the same position regardless of contrary facts or arguement, then I suppose that yes, he does hold his own. I'm not sure that's a positive trait, though - I find intellectual honesty much more admirable. I don't ask that he, or anyone else, for that matter, agree with my views - I merely ask that they listen to all the facts with an open mind. As an example, Oren and I disagree on a number of aspects of Israeli policy - but I think he'll give a fair hearing to my views, and hope he feels the same way about the way I'll respond to his.As to where Nilet received his indoctrination - I honestly haven't a clue, and it really makes no difference to me. He's so clearly off-base there's not much point in trying to figure out why. subfan |
