Ben Gurion International Airport is only 7 miles from the West Bank...any rockets launched from there could easily strike the airfield and could also shoot down arriving or departing aircraft. They pose a threat to aviation, among other dangers.

There hasn't been a rocket fired from the West Bank since 2005, and it didn't make it out of the West Bank.
