And private businesses should be free from government intrusion in determining who they serve when it does not violate the Constitution and last I checked there was no equal protection clause for LGBT like there is minorities and the case law has not mandated anti-discrimination protections for non-fundamental rights.

???

Where does the equal protection clause mention minorities? It says all persons deserve equal protection under the law.

The only difference between minorities and LGBT is that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its successors only apply to the former. So what is inherently wrong about suggesting they be extended to additional classes of people? It's a matter of judgment, not the violation of a fundamental right of private businesses.
