okay. We'll continue to enjoy our second best state GDP in the country. That's ahead of NY's rank, BTW.

Only because Texas is more populous. New York has a higher GDP per capita, which is the more useful metric.

As for GDP growth rate, it is a fact that third world countries grow faster than developed countries. Make of that what you will.
