Learning a chunk of new information about someone is always surprising.Especially since I have a bad habit of trying to imagine what people are like— even though I know my speculation is almost certainly wrong, it's surprising when a chunk of it gets replaced with accurate information. The standard "that's not how I pictured you" times thirty. I originally pictured you as about 28 and looking like a cross between a young Bill Gates and a young Jeff Miller of indeterminate American background (third generation native minimum) and working as an engineer. All of which is almost certainly wrong, of course, though if you're over 65 then I'll find that far more surprising than being Jewish. |
