I remember when my CEO read Stormfront.His English is rather limited, and in my country the literal translation of "storm front" is an idiomatic term for a major change that brings both problems and opportunities. He's also not quite familiar with how the global internet works and connections to it are slow and very expensive. So he ended up there while looking for America's equivalent to the Business Tracker. After reading a bit of it, he managed to hide his reaction well, but at lunchtime he called in the CM Director of Accounting (the highest-ranked human in the company) and asked him exactly what humans found so important about colour that a simple palette swap turns ordinary people into targets of loathing. I don't know enough Spanish to relate what the CM DA said immediately after the question was asked, but in my own country's language he related only a dry explanation of innate bias. |
