There's plenty of exception to that. Until we know just what he was thinking when he fired those last 2 bullets, the ones that killed him (according to two medical examiners) after he put his hands up as best he could given a wounded arm, and shouted that he was unarmed, stop shooting.

Rational, sane people would stop there, keep the gun trained on him until they could prove he really was unarmed and then call an ambulance. Instead, wilson fired and killed the kid.
