The grand jury is evaluating the evidence. If they issue an indictment he'll be charged. In MO it takes 9 of the 12 jurors to consent to file a charge. The jury also could choose to file lesser charges.The makeup of the jury is 75 percent white: six white men, three white women, two black women and one black man. The county overall is 70 percent white, but around two-thirds of Ferguson's residents are black. |
