I am reminded of a musical skit during Mel Brooks' hilarious 1983 film, "To Be or Not to Be", which was a remake of an earlier Jack Benny films. Brooks plays the head of an acting company who is trying to get his troupe out of Nazi Germany, despite there being a number of Jews and homosexuals in the troupe.During the skit, Brooks, dressed as Hitler, sings about peace. "All I vant is peace! Peace! A little piece of England, a little piece of France..." |
