Sadly, I agree. The ONE thing I'm hoping for though at minimum is to disband that incompetent chief and probably better than half the force and start over with a police department that works for the community.Albany and Schenectady did their riots and incompetent cops years ago. And BOTH of those cities have come a LONG way to working with the community, having competent and professional cops, community outreach and programs that have earned RESPECT from the "governed" ... then there's Troy which is this close to going full Ferguson too. It *can* be done, and in the hands of competent cops like your State Police Captain there, the shit can end. But seriously ... Ferguson's cops are walking dead as far as their operation is concerned and from the way they've handled it from the git go, rightfully so. |
