It's sheer enemy-of-my-enemy-is-my-friend nonsense. For whatever reason (probably divide-and-rule bullshit about privileged classes), the left has decided that they don't like Israel (or, in many cases, Jews) and so they give their uncritical support to whatever ragbag of undesirables opposes Israel in whatever way.
