It's still an excommunication process. Excommunication is not an exclusive term, it's basic vocabulary and a generic term. And Lutherans can excommunicate, although don't often do so.As for Jehvah's Witness, it's still an excommunication process. They can call it whatever they want officially, it still uses the generic excommunication term. And no, Mormons didn't "crib" the term, it's a generic term for whatever process they do to remove members. As for whether it is done by Jews, or a term they use, is irrelevant, the discussion was about your use of it being an exclusively Catholic process which is incorrect. |
