OK, maybe I'm just more tolerant and/or less prone to butthurt but I don't see the problem with this. Why should being the site of an atrocity somehow preclude the taking of photographs of oneself or in general? Photography at Auschwitz is hardly a bad thing in and of itself— Allied commanders anticipated the Holocaust deniers and so ordered that photos be taken as the camps were liberated.
