The guy that nearly got Binladen. Your pals called it wagging the dog. You pals thought a blowjob was far more important than international terrorism. Even when your guy went to take office, they basically ignored the transition team's advice and went off to pick a fight with China. China??? All that did was cause them to further enlarge their army, which, after sitting around being bored for so many years, is now picking tiny lopsided fights all over Asia and further repressing Tibet. Even that thwarted policy ended up doing a lot of harm.

Plenty of stuff is interconnected. Sometimes takes years to manifest itself as well. Only fools don't think back and make connections.
