Strike three. "Vote Democrat" is much more common than "Vote Democratic" by a margin of over two to one (Google's current numbers are 634,000 to 398,000). This isn't as marginal a usage as you think.The standard right wing usage is to use Democrat as an adjective, as in the Democrat Party. Using it as an adverb, as in vote Democrat, is less frequently used as a right wing mannerism. |
