There are numerous references in the Bible to God being the ruler of the universe and that everything is within the domain of God. Therefore, there is nothing "that which is Cæsar's."

Cæsar is not a generic term for a temporal ruler. It refers to a specific political figure whom most Jews resented the influence of. The argument was specifically about whether taxes should be paid to Rome, not Jerusalem.

Note that the validity of my argument is itself not at issue. My initial statement ("That interpretation is disputed") is correct as long as any significant Christian groups disagree with bingbong's interpretation. I have demonstrated that with the link I previously posted.
