At the momentYour catchphrase for when you can't handle the fact that things in the past don't support your opinions. I'm not saying one has to have lived through an experience to comment on it, but you might feel differently if you've had to go through those experiences. It's fascinating to listen to one of my ulpan teachers, whose father was murdered while walking to work near Hebrew University and who is quite leftist in her politics, has to say about the recent prisoner releases, which included her father's murderer. I might have opinions about that whole situation, but what she says about the topic will carry far more weight with any rational person than anything I have to say. |
