You do single out Israel for special treatment in your posts.

No, I talk about Israel because this discussion is about Israeli policy.

The Syrian border with Israel has effectively never been open to anything aside from select Druze, limited apple exports, and humanitarian emergencies. I hear Damascus is really pretty, but I can't visit. Doesn't seem to perturb you at all.

And that's another straw man ripped apart. :(

Even after I explicitly told you that I oppose the closure of the borders, you still insist that it "doesn't seem to perturb me."

By the way, I hear Damascus is a bit violent. Even if the border were open, you might want to wait until it calms down a bit.

They don't allow things that might be used as weapons because Hamas has demonstrated they will use each and every one of those items for that purpose, not the item's intended purpose.

Right. Not a single house constructed, nor sewer repaired.

I can't imagine what it must be like living someplace where anything that "might" be used as a weapon is banned.

Israel does not control Gaza's internal affairs.

Neither does America re: Iraq. At least not on paper, in both cases.

Exert a tremendous level of influence over a territory and you are not "disengaged" from it.

Israel doesn't control Syria's internal affairs but they share a border, is Israel engaged in Syria?

Is the availability of goods in Syria controlled by Israel?

Your double standards aren't being missed by the rest of us.

Again with the projection.
