But in any event, even if the sale isn't legitimate as per the process described by state law, if he gives over the keys to the van and says go do whatever you want with it, it may be good enough for the purposes of the religious practice/tenet of not owning chometz on Passover.If the sale isn't legitimate and he still owned the chametz, then it was taken care of when he recited bittul chametz. But I still say burn the van just to be safe. |
