Just do me a favor - leave the Jews out of it.

Can't. The Revised Common Lectionary insists on using the St John Passion on Good Friday, which blames "the Jews". At least it's not Matthew though (27.25 is the worst verse). If I had a clerical collar, I would stick two fingers up to the lectionary and read the Passion from Luke. I would further ignore the lectionary by getting rid of the thoroughly inappropriate reading from Isaiah 52-53.
